I do. I like reading, and because these games are text they can allow greater scenarios. There's no need to settle for the safe average protagonists you see a lot in w/jrpgs.
If you don't like reading, or your suspension of disbelief allows vampires and dino knights, but not someone identifying as neither male or female - even if you don't have to be that, then it's probably not for you.
